When you suffer an injury
which has been caused by someone else, you are entitled
to be compensated. Such compensation should reflect

is complex enough to determine who is the correct party to direct your claim

You are faced with attempting to persuade
an insurer to compensate you for an incident for which,
virtually without exception, they will deny all liability. The
onus is then upon YOU to prove YOUR claim, firstly by
proving that they are responsible by reason
of negligence and then to quantify your claim which may
require endless correspondence and specialist reports. What
certainly will be required is an expert knowledge of
liability claims and the law, both of which SALMON ASSESSORS
will provide.

You may wish to
instruct your solicitor to handle the claim for you. However, despite
recent changes in the law, solicitors are unlikely
to work on a "no settlement, no fee" basis as their
advertising may suggest. Once a solicitor is
satisfied that your claim will probably be successful,
he will ask you to take out a special type of insurance
policy which covers legal expenses in the event that
you lose in court. |

The
premium for this policy is expensive and it has to be
paid, in advance, by you. SALMON ASSESSORS, on
the other hand, make no charge whatsoever until the claim
is settled and the funds are received. We charge
only a small percentage and if the claim is unsuccessful,
we make no charge for our services.
The other point to bear in mind when
deciding who should conduct your claim is that however
high or low the settlement figure, the solicitor's fee
is likely to be the same. With SALMON ASSESSORS,
however, because we receive a percentage, it is in our
interests as well as yours to fight to get you the highest
